Somehow the fact that I will some day die has sunk into me. The feeling ain't too good but it isn't one of the worse feelings in life either. Whenever I think about death I would fear it like a little boy in the dark, considering I did fire walking with being harmed and without the fear, its pretty ironic. For alot of people death is a very morbid topic and few really wants to even think about. I was watching the movie "The Bucket List". Inside there was a survey done regarding this question, "If it is possible to know the exact day you would die, would you choose to know or not?". 96% of the people surveyed said no. For me I would belong to that bunch as well.
Now I think about it. Knowing about it in advance can work in both ways, either it makes you very liberated or you sink totally. I don't think I need to talk about the sinking part which I believe most people already practice that despite still living. Why liberated..........well for me I would believe you would dare do alot of things you normally wouldn't. The attitude of "Heck lets do this, I won't get another shot at it anyways" would come in all the time. You nit-pick at less stuff because you realise everything you do is an experience. Good or bad its still an experience. You tend to want to move out of depression quickly because being depressed consumes time as well.
Well that's some of the few things I thought when you know the day of your end. Last weekend I did one of the things I kept in my mind about doing and that's heading overseas by myself before I hit 30. Actually its 2 things. Meet a long distance internet friend as well. So I did 2 things over the weekend. I went overseas and met and a long distance internet friend. I guess that's 2 items off my bucket list.
Don't ask me what my bucket list contains. I will never let you know hurr hurr hurr.
I know the title says its a LITTLE picture-spam, but in actuality its pretty image-heavy ^^;
please be warned.
QQ (and a bit of Sushe)
First off.. the naughtiest girl in the house. ARGH! She's so so naughty!
she's always growling and threatening to bite Irene. (it's a good thing she doesn't do that to me!)
and like I've mentioned, the mop is like a permanent fixture in my room. hahahaha.
We're still in the process of toilet-training her :)

Hsin Yeow's thoughts: Chasing Cars
When it was Patrick's turn to give a speech, he confessed, "I couldn't sleep last night because I was fretting over what to say."
He obviously put the time to good use, because he gave a fantastic speech. He paid tribute to the various groups of guests who were present at his wedding, from his secondary school friends, Army buddies, even his boss!
Patrick wanted his wedding to be a very "personalised" one, so acknowledging his guests and explaining how each group shaped his development as an individual was a good start.
The couple also arranged for a fuss-free lunch buffet at One Degree Fifteen, so that his guests could walk about and enjoy the scenic surroundings.
Patrick and Kris also made sure that the photo montage featured many shots of them posing with their favourite car, the MINI. In a dramatic entrance, Kris was driven into the ballroom to our live performance of her favourite song Built To Last, riding in, what else, a brand new cream-coloured MINI!
Sebastian, Jonathan and I had a relaxing time performing for Patrick and Kris. The mood of the audience was buoyant and convivial, matched by the cool breezes of a perfect afternoon.
Thanks Patrick and Kris! May you both enjoy a smooth but exciting ride in your journey though life together!
Band: Hsin Yeow, Sebastian, Jonathan Ang
Repertoire:
Built To Last, Open Arms, Chasing Cars, Fields Of Gold, Better Together, Amazed, These Are The Moments, More Than Words, Overjoyed, Here There Everywhere, When You Say Nothing At All, In This Life, Everything, Save Room, Close To You, 'S Wonderful, Taking A Chance On Love, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Sway, Come Fly With Me, Save The Last Dance For Me
Audience dedication: 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart)
heheehehe pardon the lame french~ >D It's just the title "the pied piper of hamelin" seems so very tempting to frenchfy. Anyway, I used babelfish. Know no french for nuts haha!
90 minutes to finish the demo files, port everything, have lunch and get ready to scram.
ZURG RUSHHHHHHHH AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *DOOMED*
with what happened in china its depressing. especially the kids in the schools.
today went smoothly.
Though I still had a little of the block stuck here and there... there wasn't much trouble. I was feeling a little inferior and timid at first =_=" especially since I ranted so much the night before, and this morning I still didn't think that I was actually feeling up to it. It was fun anyway, interacting with children... they really change your moods alot.
Went back home after the two hours, had lunch and went to sleep till like... evening, before Mom drove Alex and I off to Kumon. It's fun, but marking the papers was... a terror, haha. I think someone screwed up somehow, because there was this set of papers that I was marking on basic addition and subtraction of fractions and it was totally screwed up, the mistakes were marked correct (wut??) and there were some really, really careless errors that were totally left there to rot. T___T"" disaster... it was on every page to boot.
Going again tomorrow after the SJI class to help out and pick up Alex's papers, since they redid the last handful of levels for Kumon English and Maths (the one that's at college/uni levels) so Alex can start on them after his Maths Olympia is over. *OTL*
Redoing one of my files for demo tomorrow... I love my coffee + watching anime when drawing, haha. T_T Watching Nabari no Ou, but I'm a little afraid that it's a good series turning mainstream somehow... I don't want to see names like Yoite12 or Miharu3424897 or XxBantenxNinjaxX gooood nooooooooo *DESK DESK* I-I mean that's already happening to Junjou Romantica, and I'm already seeing the "OMG YAOI SO KAWAII DESU NE =^____~=" all around already. need to cut out the selfish thoughts haha ;;; inb4elitism *SHOTSHOT*
kay xD got to get back to work or I won't be able to sleep tonight...
After more than a decade of development, technology that directs a beam of sound straight into a person's eardrums is ready for primetime.
In December, the A&E Television Network used the technology on a busy downtown Manhattan street to promote its show, Paranormal State. The new program is about ghost hunters who investigate haunted locations, and people walking by an advertisement heard voices whispering, "Who's there? What's that? It's not your imagination."
The technology works by beaming waves of hypersonic sound at a pitch that is undetectable by the human ear. The waves continue until they smash into an object such as a person's body. The waves then slow, mix and re-create the original audio broadcast. If the person steps out of the waves, they are no longer obstructed and are rendered inaudible.
The promotion was an enormous success. New Yorkers heard about the freaky advertisement and flocked to its location to experience it first-hand.
If this is real technology, it seems like a perfect harassment tool, scary.
Although it only loaded halfway for me sometimes...
YAMATO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
YOU'RE SO COOL HEHEHHH
Poor little Senaaa. But he'll probably end up beating you anyways lol. Hail Jumpppp.

Hsin Yeow's thoughts: Someone There For Me
When I called PJ a few days before his wedding, he was very stressed. He still had piles of work waiting to be done, and he was in no mood for what I was about to ask, "So PJ, would you like to sing for a song for Sook Fen?"
Immediately, his guard was up.
"No, I don't. Why are you asking me this? This is so strange..."
I sensed his reluctance, so I decided not to pursue the matter until later.
Round 2. When I arrived at My Humble House, I saw PJ and warmly shook his hand. At the same time, I cajoled, "PJ, a little bird told me you have a great voice! So sing a song for Sook Fen!"
It took a few tries, admittedly, but I managed to wear PJ down. He finally agreed to sing, and surprised me by waving away my suggestion for a short rehearsal.
"No need lah, I'll manage."
I selected the David Tao classic, 爱很简单 (Love Is Very Simple), for PJ. Without the slightest hesitation, he came forward when I called his name, and sang with all his heart!
Scaling the high notes with little effort, PJ gave a jaw-dropping performance, earning several rounds of thunderous applause, and shouts of "Encore!"
Sook "The bird" Fen looked with me and smiled shyly. Her expression seemed to say, "That's my man!"
Congratulations, PJ and Sook Fen! Thanks for engaging us to perform at your wedding!
P.S. Here's a shout out to PJ's groomsmen: Rong Hui, Derek and Ian. They were a great bunch, and gave PJ all the help he needed for the wedding to run smoothly.
Band: Hsin Yeow, Hui Bing, Ein Ein
Repertoire:
Angels Brought Me Here, La Vie En Rose, Feeling Good, If We Hold On Together, L-O-V-E, 我愿意 (I Do), Moon River, And I Love You So, 你的倒影 (Your Shadow), Love Me, Someone There For Me, Love Will Keep Us Alive, Close To You
When I Fall In Love, The Moon Represents My Heart, Quando Quando Quando, 你的名字我的姓氏 (Your Name, My Surname), Valentine, You And I, Way Back Into Love, Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Sway
Songs To Recommend:
Feeling Good and You And I - Have added two more songs from Michael Bublé's oeuvre in my repertoire. Bublé's voice has been described as "pure sex" by an enthusiastic fan; if you have not listened to his songs before, click the links and you might agree.
Someone There For Me - Little else is known about this gem, except that it appeared in commercials and TV serials. Oh, and the singer is Rebecca Blaylock (yup, tried googling her too, but nothing much came up).
( Lyrics )
Venue To Recommend:
My Humble House - Award-winning food and fantastic ambience. But get a spotlight so that there's some illumination when the couple's cutting the wedding cake. Heh.
For the records, I'm epic fail at sewing... In the end, we got
kawoo-shifu to help us do Niji's outfit which she had it done within hours >_<- and I'm still fighting with the dress for Shia....
And the pair of shoes I've ordered from ebay has not yet been shipped despite the reminders I've sent to the seller and telling her I need it for wedding on the 20th. I have a bad feeling the shoes will not arrive in time. I'm prepared to wear the pair of white heels I already have, but that means I need to arrange for pedicure also, as I have really ugly toes =3=... But I wonder what I would do with the pair of loli shoes when they finally arrive, since I do not have any outifts that can go with it...

current mood: worried
Despite raining the whole day, I was rather chirpy yesterday, though was tired as I didnt have enough sleep...
angelan_skyhigh early in the morning and went to ROM to settle some final confirmation and collect the blank marriage cert... seriously I dont know what to make out of this feeling. I feel happy and excited yet nervous and unsure... most probably about this major
So met with
change in life now. At the ROM, we were asked to take an oath to declare that everything we declared then is truth... and it dawn on me, after this we are really... no longer kids. And after the vows on 20th, everything we do and say and would quarrel about would take serious responsibilities and impact on our lives and relationship. It's kind of scary... the marriage is suppose to strengthen the relationship but why do I feel that it's going to make thiings really delicate from now on? ^^UUU
Anyway, after collecting our stuff at ROM we went to the restuarant to settle the stuff there. But the manager in charge is not around... though we had left a message for him to call us and went off to hang around in the vinicity, he didnt... so that make our banquet layout unsettled... gah.
While waiting for the manager to contact us, we had breakfast at Mac at Funan, and went to the hotel to confirm our room booking and went to shop at Cityhall for the pen. We bought a parker pen for guest use on that day. Finished with neccessary shopping, we went to nua at Ochacha cafe. It is a nice hangout place, much less crowded compared to the other cafes around. I reckon that being that the drinks and food served are quite niche -- Ocha based. Not everyone can appreciate that, it took me awhile to like it. XD... ocha tastiing milk. The cotton cake is nice too. =3 Spent around an hour plus there and called the restuarant only to learn that the manager is not going to be in untiil 4pm...=0=...
Went off to Toa Payoh HDB hub then. Have no idea it is now so different from when it was at Bukit Merah... you cant just walk in, ask and look and apply XD In fact it looks so huge and intimidating now. Oh well... we went to poke around at the HDB gallery and took a bus down to Seng Kang, our last stop for the day's work. Had a early dinner and went to walk around while waiting to meet the person to collect the guest gift. .... came in a basket, which luckily the person decided to wrap a plastic sheet on it because of the rain, if not we would have an even harder time trying to get the things home XD...
So... that left us we the grooming stuff nearer to the actual day itself. And the nitty gritty with tthe restuarant and the cd of songs for our dinner... ^^U...
Yes.. and the doll clothes =/ UGH.
